Why Weight Train During Pregnancy?
Once upon a time when a pregnant woman was thought of as fragile. Any form of exercise is strictly prohibited by doctors and feared by concerned parents. We began to understand that a pregnant woman is capable of doing almost everything that any other woman can do (and even if most men). Today, it is recommended that women participate in prenatal exercise programs because of the benefits during work and delivery and post-benefits for mothers and babies. Why weight train? The woman who weight train throughout pregnancy receive less weight during pregnancy causes and return to their pre-pregnancy weight, strength, flexibility and levels faster than women who remain inactive or involved in cardio programs. Weight training for women increases the energy level throughout the pregnancy and help prevent loss of bone density post-partum. Children born to women who weight trained during pregnancy are born with birth weight.
