Find Your Style Of Reading Glasses To Show Off Your Sense Of Fashion

Reading glasses or readers have evolved from those old black granny glasses of the past. Today's reading glasses offer style and glamour making them as fashionable as they are functional. The many varieties of reading glasses available match the many personalities of their wearers.

To be fashionable and feel great you need to identify what you need from a pair of reading glasses. Reading glasses come in many types, but the most popular ones are: rimless, plastic, metal, and foldable. The following list describes each kind, the characteristics, and styles available.

Rimless reading glasses: This kind has no frame around the lens. The ear and nose pieces connect directly to the lens. Rimless readers are good for someone wanting something lightweight. They also have an invisible look to them for someone who wants people to notice their beautiful face, not their reading glasses. Rimless readers do not offer much room for creative designs and usually come in one solid color.

Plastic reading glasses: Plastic readers are, as their name says, made of plastic. They are probably the most recognized type of frame. The choices of designs and colors are endless. Almost anything imaginable can be done with plastic readers. The most common problem with this type of frame is they are the heaviest of all frames. Newly developed plastics, like memory flex plastic, are lighter weight and have added bonuses like forming to fit your face comfortably.

Metal reading glasses: Metal has fast become a favorite frame choice because it is lightweight and less noticeable than plastic. Metal frames come in many colors and designs as well. The biggest concern with a metal frame is that it bends easily and once bent is prone to breaking.

Foldable reading glasses: Foldable readers have hinges at the nose and ear pieces that allow them to be folded down to about a quarter of their original size. They are lightweight and easy to carry. They have metal frames and because of the extra hinges have an added risk of breaking. The easy to carry characteristics of foldable reading glasses makes them a favorite with people who only occasionally need to use them, but store them in a purse or pocket most of the time.

When buying a pair of fashionable reading glasses, make sure work for you so that you will wear them. Then everybody will see what a flair for fashion you have.

Tattoos; Not Just for Drunken Sailors

Tattoos are not new. They have been around longer then recorded history. It just seems I have been noticing them a lot more lately. I don't know if that was because I started to take an interest or there are a lot more people getting them.

Before I decided to get my tattoo, I did some home work. I don't come from a background of drunken sailors, so my only thoughts were those dark and dingy, back alley shops you see on late night TV. As most of you reading this can guess, I was wrong. There are clean and reputable tattoo shops even in my town. Some of these tattoo shop are even open during the day light.

I did a lot of internet searching and have learned a lot about tattoos and tattoo shops. Mostly I learned not to prejudge. But some of the things I learned I thought would be worth passing on to my kids and to whoever is deciding to get a tattoo.

Tattoos can put you at risk for contacting many diseases, such as HIV, Hepatitis and even tuberculosis. Tattoos can bring on skin infections such as impetigo, dermatitis and possibly an allergic reaction to the tattoo pigment. To minimize the risk you really need to follow a couple of common sense rules when seeking out a tattoo shop.

Stop by a tattoo shop and look and see if they are using single service equipment. Make sure all needles and tubes are individually packaged, dated, sealed. The person who tattoos should use guidelines created by OSHA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for the handling of body fluids. And of course, the person doing the tattoo should be wearing gloves.

After you get your tattoo, don't pick or tug on the area of the tattoo. Clean with soap and water not with alcohol. Tattoos are sensitive to sun; use SPF 30 or greater to protect them. Also, use antibiotic cream for several days. The body considers tattoos as an open wound.

I hope anybody considering a tattoo or who has a tattoo and is getting another will just take a few precautions.

Remember friends don't let friend's get a tattoo while under the influence of alcohol or after just meeting Mr. or Ms. Right.

Gemstone Treatments

Though not common knowledge to the public, most gemstones are treated in some way to enhance their color and clarity. An untreated gemstone is a rarity. These treatments are common and widely accepted in the industry and normally do not de-value the stone.

Most retail jewelers do not divulge this information to their buying public or they themselves are not aware. If they are a reputable and ethical establishment then they will be honest if queried on the subject. Don't expect this information to be offered without inquiring first.

Heat treatment is the most common method used to color enhance gems. Tanzanite, which has become a very popular gemstone in jewelry and to collect is heat treated to obtain that gorgeous cornflower blue color with lavender tones and flashes of red. The rough must be heated to 600 degrees; otherwise, Tanzanite as we know it wouldn't exist.

Colored diamonds (which do occur naturally) are irradiated to obtain those most sought after colors of red and blue. Naturally colored diamonds are very, very costly and rare. The &quot;Hope&quot; diamond is an example of a natural blue diamond. Natural colored diamonds can come in a rainbow of colors such as blue, brown, yellow, orange, red, purple, pink, and green, but the cost is just to prohibitive for most people to obtain. Irradiated diamonds create those beautiful colors at a cost which is more affordable. Natural colored diamonds are radiated in the earth's crust which takes millions of years. Man has learned how to speed up the process and produce those same colors in the laboratory. Champagne and yellow diamonds are more abundant in nature and are not usually irradiated to obtain their color.

Topaz is another gemstone which requires treatment to obtain the colors it's known for such as the &quot;London Blue&quot; color which takes about 18 months to process. A recent popular color is called &quot;Mystic Fire&quot; which is a rainbow of colors in the same gem. Another popular color is pink. Pink topaz is much more affordable than pink sapphire. Pink is one of the most popular colors in gemstone jewelry. The &quot;Mystic Fire&quot; color was created by a process called bulk diffusion. Topaz naturally is white (also called silver) or the golden-peach color known as &quot;precious&quot; or &quot;imperial&quot; topaz which is the most rare and expensive of topaz. Due to the demand for the other colors such as Swiss Blue, London Blue, Pink, Mango, Neptune Blue, Mystic Fire, etc. white topaz (which is needed to create colored topaz) has become more and more scarce and risen in cost.

There are a number of gemstones that don't require nor will they take any kind of enhancement treatment. Their colors occur naturally right out of the earth. They only needed to be cut and polished to show off their beauty. Those gems that come to mind are garnets, chrome diopside, red spinel, and peridot.

Untreated gemstones are more rare and therefore may fetch a higher price than treated gemstones. As a collector or investor I would seek the non-enhanced variety if available and affordable.

10 Tips to Stretch Your Wardrobe Dollars

1. Buy what works for you! - Don't waste your money buying two-piece suits if you work in a warehouse! Take your job responsibilities into account when purchasing clothing for your career. If you work outdoors, buy clothing fit for your environment. Don't buy items that you won't feel comfortable in, because you won't wear those items and that's wasted money!

2. Stick to your best colors - Have a professional Color Analysis done to determine what the most flattering colors are for you. By sticking to those colors, you'll be assured that you'll always have mix and match capability and you'll always look great! One of the foundations of Capsule Wardrobing is the selection of 3 basic colors to build a wardrobe on. Make sure they are the right ones for you!

3. Buy the right size for right now - Clothing manufacturers are not known for their adherence to standards. Don't get hung up on what size the clothing is tagged as, get hung up on proper fit! If the article of clothing feels tight, pulls or seems stressed at the seams, it won't last as long, and it will make you look heavier in the process. Buy clothing that fits you well and it will not only make you look better, it will last longer.

4. Purchase for Multi-season use - Try to purchase fabrics that are multi-seasonal. A heavy, textured wool jacket is only good for the coldest of weather, whereas one made of mid-weight or lighter weight wool or wool blend could be worn with a sweater in cold weather and with a shirt or blouse in warmer weather. You'll get more use from multi-season garments than those with a single-season focus.

5. Remember the basics - Suits and separates can form the foundation of a great working wardrobe. Single and double-breasted long-sleeved blazers with matching skirts for women or pants for men or women are essential basics. Save the novelty items for your casual days at home, or for accessory pieces. Don't try to build a wardrobe around the "trend of the moment". When the trend passes, you'll look dated. Purchase basic building pieces to build your wardrobe and you'll be able to mix and match pieces to create lots of different looks with a minimal investment.

6. Accessorize with style - Every wardrobe needs a certain investment in accessories. The considered use of scarves, jewelry and pins, ties and pocket squares, and even hosiery, shoes and hats can transform ordinary clothing into something extraordinary. Determine whether your coloring is cool or warm and let that guide you in choosing accessories, especially metal jewelry. If your coloring is warm, gold will emphasize the glow in your skin. If your coloring is cool, choose more silver, platinum or white gold to emphasize the contrast of your skin. Combining smart accessories with a basic wardrobe ensures you'll always look coordinated and polished, not thrown-together or haphazard.

7. Buy quality over quantity ? When purchasing clothing, consider buying items that are fully lined versus only partially lined or unlined (the clothing will "hang" better and last longer). Purchase items with a good feel and drape to the fabric, and choose clothing distributors that have a reputation for quality. It's not necessary to only buy wool, when a better grade wool or polyester blend will work as well initially. Buying a $400 suit for $175 on sale is a really good deal, considering the fabric and construction of that suit will be better than the $150 suit purchased on sale for $80. The more expensive suit will be worn more often and cost you less per wearing. A less expensive piece won't be worn as often and won't last, thereby costing you more per wearing.

8. Compatible shoes and hosiery - For a work wardrobe, shoes and hosiery are the finishing touch. Purchase quality shoes and take care of them. Shoes that are run down, scuffed and showing wear make you look the same way, no matter how polished and professional the rest of your outfit. Job interviewers have been taught to check out a prospective employee's shoes, and for entrepreneurs, prospective clients do the same thing! If they don't look their best, it will reflect badly on you. When you find shoes that fit well and feel good on your feet, buy several pair in your foundation colors, and two pair of your most often-worn color so that you can give one pair a rest while wearing the other. Avoid fads in shoes and stick with classic designs like pumps and sling backs for women, and wingtips or oxfords for men. Ladies, stick with a heel no higher than 2 ?", and no lower than ?" for ease in walking and a reduced chance of injury.

9. Organize and categorize - Once you've determined your foundation colors for your wardrobe, you can organize and categorize your clothing for easy selection and wearing. Hang jackets by sleeve length, color and garment length, or combined with matching pieces to create ready-made outfits. Keep similar fabric weights close together to avoid putting a heavy wool jacket over a lightweight chiffon or silk skirt. Put mix-and-match items near their foundation counterparts for easier selection. Move items that need cleaning to a specific area for easy pick up and removal.

10. Take notes for future use - Whenever you are shopping, take along color swatches of your basic colors and those determined to be right for you. Make a promise to yourself to stay with your correct colors, and keep notes of what basic foundation items you already own. No one really needs 10 virtually identical black dresses or 10 identical black suits! One of the guidelines of Professional Wardrobing is to make sure that any item you purchase must either be compatible with at least two other items in your closet, or it must be a foundation garment that could be combined with other pieces to create many other outfits. In this way, you'll be sure to maximize your clothing dollars and create a terrific wardrobe.

Make the most of your clothing investment by using the principles outlined above, and you'll always be impeccably dressed!

Fashion Tips: 5 Ways To Look Fabulous in White

Do you see white in your future? No, I'm not referring to a wedding but rather your summer wardrobe. Nothing spells summer like white. While the temperature rises you can stay cool and look fantastic in white. White will add impact to your summer wardrobe and will keep you looking fresh and inviting. To get the most from wearing white I have a few suggestions.

1. White reflects light so wherever you wear it you will bring attention. Having said that, if you have any body parts you don't want to appear larger don't accentuate that area by adorning it in white and wearing a dark color next to it. What you can do is wear white from head- to- toe so no particular area has focus. For example, if you have large hips don't wear white bottoms with a dark top because the eye will be drawn to the bottom. Instead, wear a white top and white pants and use accessories to take the focus away from the problem area. Or wear white on top and black on the bottom.

2. Wear black and white combinations with accessories to create impact. Wear a white skirt with a black top, black shoes, white handbag, and a black/white necklace. Handbags and scarves that have a black and white pattern will also bring some pizzazz. Experiment.

3. To change your look, wear white with bright colors such as pink and green. Again, choose accessories that will add interest. A pink or green bag, pink jewelry, pink shoes etc. You can also try 3 color combinations such as pink/black/white green/black/white or red/black/white.

4. Wear white only until the end of the summer season and don't wear white to a wedding unless you are the bride.

5. Wear white T-shirts with jeans and choose a finer fabric to wear with suits for a more professional look. When you wear whites pay attention to your undergarments ? avoid lacy bras ? choose to wear nudes, they will not show under white.

Fashion Marketing 101

In a nutshell, fashion marketing is a profession that takes the latest trends and designs in clothing and communicates them to a target market in such a way that the consumer is not only aware of the product, but wants to and ultimately does buy the product. A target market is a sector of the consumer market to which a company wishes to sell (i.e. market) its clothing. To fully know what fashion marketing is, it is important to understand that marketing does not stop at ads in magazines or commercials on TV. The world of marketing is just as dynamic as the world of fashion. Marketing clothing includes elements such as determining which stores the apparel should be sold in, what price the clothing should be sold for-all the way to how the in-store displays should look. Fashion marketers often are as savvy about business as they are about fashion and popular culture.

Fashion marketers are creative. At the core, the profession is about connecting with the image-the lifestyle-the consumer wants. For example, in the fashion industry, comfort, style, material, color, symmetry, and usability are just the beginning of a list of elements designers must consider when developing a line of clothing. Fashion marketers take the task a step further by determining the best way to promote the characteristics of the clothing to the consumer and to which group of consumers to promote it to. What a 65 year-old female is looking for from a piece of formal eveningwear is completely different from what a 21 year-old male wants from casual everyday wear. Consequently, fashion marketers must stay abreast with the latest fashions as well as know what styles will be successful for a variety of occasions, age groups and demographics.

Fashion marketers play an essential role within the fashion industry because they are the link between designers and the public. The success of a line of clothing does not rest solely on its design. Often, successful marketing is just as crucial, if not more so, to the line as the actual clothing itself. This is because marketing is the tool through which the designer identifies with the public, and the public identifies with the designer. Without this exchange, it would be difficult to establish the consumer base required to have a successful line of clothing.

Ultimately, fashion marketing is a fun profession-changing and reinventing itself just as often as the clothes it promotes. It integrates the artistic nature of fashion with the creative aspects of business-making for a highly rewarding career to the ambitious and innovative.

The Uniqueness of Missoni

To Uniqueness of Angela Missoni stands her alone and away from any other designer. A garment designed by Angela easily is picked out of a line of impressive fashions.

Even though Angela Missoni had been involved in the family fashion business she was determined not to follow in the footsteps of her parent.

After having several career from managing a children's playground to raising organic chickens, she was drawn back to her natural roots and began designing jewelry. Her father offered her a position in the company claiming that the diversity could keep her working in her own department out of the daily reaches of her parents.

Angela soon began designing fashion collections. Her collections were varied. One collection saw accessories added, another some knits, as she always battled to be unique and different.

One day her mother said she felt Angela's lines should be what Missoni should be about.

Her desire is fueled by her uniqueness. She never wanted to be like any other designer. Angela prides herself in knowing that nothing else in the fashion world looks quite like a Missoni design.

From it's inception in 1953 Missoni was very experimental. Sometime during the 1980s it lost its way and became intrenched in the more classic looks and styles. With the help of Angela it has found its way back to its roots.

The designs are once again bold, funky, younger looking. So watch for the new face or shall we say old face of the well known Missoni family with Angela now leading the way.

Angela's designs have been worn by many famous stars such as Sandra Bullock, Eva Mendes, Rachel Blanchard, Debra Messing and Sheryl Crow.

It's going to be an exciting season with Angela's imagination running wild what we will see on the runway this season can only be left to the imagination. Keep your eyes wide open!

Wolf Jewelry: Dances With Vogue

When shopping for jewelry, one can see two extremes in any motif lineup: the delicate, feminine extreme, and the strong, masculine extreme. Among the "strong" extremes, wolf jewelry stands out as a common favorite -- it is, after all, the symbol of virility and independence, rebellion and complete self-possession. When one wears the most common types of masculine wolf jewelry, one is virtually saying, "I'm tough; don't mess with me."

But nowadays, a greater diversity of designs exists for jewelry themes, even wolf jewelry. For example: the popular fantasy comic Elfquest's artist Wendy Pini has popularized the use of delicate wolf motifs, which are smoothly curving, streamlined and sensual without compromising the impregnable visage of the real-life wolf. Pini's wolf designs symbolize neither male nor female, but nature as a whole.

Kevin Costner made a smash hit with his appearance in the romantic period dramatic film "Dances With Wolves." In that movie he celebrated the qualities that are as essential to humans as they are to wolves: loyalty, honor, trust and freedom. Wolves remain a symbol of all these virtues. The moon is also associated very closely with the image of the wolf, as images of wolves howling at the full moon continue to be popular in today's culture.

Wolves are known to be solitary creatures, but as a matter of fact only a few are known to be certified "lone wolves" -- that is, wolves that have decided to leave the pack and hunt on their own. Lone wolves are rather rare, but their lives burn brightly; their achievements may not be acknowledged by members of their own species, but they are certainly remembered by the world around them.

Many people who identify with wolves fancy that they are most attuned to the lone wolf: the seductive outcast who is making his or her own way into the world, regardless of what anyone else thinks. In a way this is so: the lone wolf is often what is depicted in wolf jewelry, with its grim demeanor, quick wit, grace accentuated by speed and stealth, and the courage to find its own path through life.

It will happen to most of us baby boomers?one day we are easily reading a story in the newspaper and the next day we can't see the words clearly. Don't despair, the large selection of reading glasses available on the market will give you exactly what you need in a style that you want. What type of visual assistance do you require? Do you want a magnifying glass for the occasional help with reading a few words, or hot colored eyeglass frames that are made into glasses for reading? The internet is one resource where you can find all of the trendy or traditional styles, choices, colors and prices of magnifying glasses, reading glasses, contacts, color contacts and they are all just a click away. Purchasing glasses for reading or frames has never been easier. If you feel you need a prescription from your physician, make a selection and in a few days they will be arriving at your door.

Never fear because the large selection of frames on the market will make you look fabulous. There is every style imaginable and you will easily find one that fits your face beautifully. They are so easy to find that you can keep them everywhere. We have reading glasses in every car, and almost in every room. You can buy something outrageous in a hot color or print and if you don't like it, it didn't cost you a fortune. I wear glasses everyday and I never tire of getting more colors. If you are in public and you are still self-conscious about people seeing you wear reading glasses, bring out a cool lorgnette that can be worn around the neck. They look like a necklace but they are really a magnifying glass. Find one that has a good quality optical lens. If they have bubbles, waves or other defects, they will affect your vision also. They make a fashion statement and don't have anything to do with looking older. You can also find reading glasses that are tinted with UV protection. If you have a more complicated problem, such as astigmatism, you might want to get your reading glasses from your eye care professional. The glasses you find in a store are a one size fits all style and you might want something that is custom for your particular eye problems.

When it comes to reading a book, newspaper, computer screen or doing close hand work, you need to take care of the eyes. Eyestrain is an all too common problem for most of us so don't hesitate to visit your eye care professional if you are experiencing any problems reading more than the fine print.

How to Choose a Comfortable Pair of Shoes

You've finally worn out those comfortable old shoes that you have been wearing for years. Finding a good pair of shoes is a bit like trying to find the perfect spouse; it takes a lot of looking around to find the perfect match. But shopping for shoes should not be a stressful experience. Here is a brief guide to help you find that perfect pair.

The first thing you need to decide on is your budget, as this will limit which brands and perhaps styles, you can buy. Many discount footwear stores have great sales, sometimes giving you up to 80% off the original price or even running two for the price of one sales. So, if you see sales like these, take advantage of them!

Once you've decided on your budget, you should think about what type of shoe you want to buy. Do you plan on being on your feet a lot? Do you want you shoes to be a fashion statement, or are you more of a 'sensible shoe' type of person? They are many new hot fashions this summer, ranging from dainty sandals to towering stilettos. While a pair of cute high heels may match your new skirt perfectly, they may not be right for you if you are going to on your feet, running around all day. So, make sure that you put some thought into where- and how long- you will be wearing them.

When it comes to actually trying on a pair of shoes, there are some general rules that you should try to follow. If you can, try the shoes on late in the day, as your feet tend to swell slightly as the day progresses. If you plan on wearing socks with the shoes, remember to bring a pair with you to the store, so that you can try on the shoes with them to give you an idea of how comfortable they will be.

Finding a comfortable pair of shoes should not be a challenge, especially if you know what to look for when buying them.

Safety Glasses Can Be Fashionable

Safety glasses have evolved from the days of poorly fitting plastic protection we used to put on our eyes. Today, we expect more from eyewear and eyeglass manufacturers and the same is true for the companies that produce glasses for safety. It's not enough for protective or safety eyewear to be of tempered glass or plastic, having temple and side shields for maximum coverage. These safety eyeglasses must be stylish, well fitting, and come in different colors too. Employees all over the world actually enjoy wearing their protective glasses making it a win win for everyone.

If you are an employer looking for top quality protective safety glasses, or a weekend warrior remodeling your home, you can find a large selection of styles on the internet. Many home improvement centers also carry styles of safety glasses, but they will be a more one size fits all basic style. They are a larger style and usually fit over your existing eyeglass frames. These work, however, they can fog easily. It has never been easier to find what you are looking for by the click of a mouse. If your employees like how they look and feel in their protective glasses, they will find themselves not wanting to take them off ? making it safer for everyone.

Safety glass is usually made from a polycarbonate material as in a bullet proof window. In order for them to be rated as safety glasses, the lenses and frames need to comply with the ANSI standards. Protective glasses are extremely durable, safe, and can be very clear and opaque for the best in eyeglass and eyewear users. Color tints are popular for function and fashion. Amber tinted glasses are good for overcast days, gray lenses reduce glare in sunny conditions, and mirror coating is a very fashionable look. The job generally dictates what kind of eye protection you will need. If you have questions about what kind of safety glass is best for the job you are doing, you can always ask OSHA. They will tell you what is necessary if there is a question. Are you working around lasers, or flying debris? Are you in a high impact area, or around fumes? If you are in an area where liquid is a problem, some styles are better for protection from splashing than others. There are colors of frames available where even an outdoorsman can find safety glasses that have frames that are camouflage. The safety glass industry has come a long way from just clear plastic protection. If you do your research prior to purchasing a pair of glasses, you will be assured you are finding the best match for your specific requirements to keep your eyes safe.

Horse Jewelry: Bold and Free

A popular motif in jewelry, even among city dwellers, is horses. Horse jewelry is enigmatic and evokes a sense of strength as well as of mystery. Now one would have to ask: why horses? Why care about an animal rarely seen in the city anyway?

Horses symbolize freedom, and pride in freedom. Wild horses come with the connotation of spiritual and emotional independence. Have you ever seen or read "The Horse Whisperer" or "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron"? Perhaps the snow-white horse named Shadowfax in the &quot;Lord of the Rings&quot; movies has evoked a sense of unbridled freedom in you? And yet, Hollywood has not even begun to touch on the importance of horses in ancient cultures. Far from being mere beasts of burden, horses were also trusted friends. Native Americans paid great respect to the horses they have domesticated, for they were useful in hunting and traveling.

Wearing horse jewelry is a celebration of independence, a rallying cry to break free from the bonds of society and be graceful, proud and natural.

It is a popular belief that the wild horse chooses its tamer. Alexander the Great's horse, the celebrated Bucephalus, was known to be the wildest horse in his day: king of horses, unconquered by conquerors. And yet when the young Alexander cautiously approached him, Bucephalus calmed down and allowed the teenaged monarch to climb on his back. Together the two conquered cities, leveled fortresses, and built an empire -- kindred untrammeled spirits faithful to each other until the end.

A driven, successful, hard-to-get professional woman may appreciate a gift of horse jewelry -- in celebration of her strong, free-spirited nature. A young carefree lad may also benefit from horse jewelry, as an expression of virility and natural strength. Horse jewelry comes in a variety of forms -- from pendants to hairclips, brooches to bracelets, anything that catches attention! The flashier the better, or the more muted the more desirable, for people who gravitate to horses.

Women?s Guide: Fashion Trends for Summer 2005

If you are like me and many others the warm weather motivates you to do or try new things. It even inspires you to pay more attention to your overall appearance. But, before you go shopping I suggest you take a look at this list to see what is in style.

? Cropped pants ? If you see pants that are too long to classify in the shorts category and too short to qualify as the regular long pants those are referred as cropped pants. They fit inches below the knee but, are placed above the ankle.

? Natural hair ? Good news for ladies with curly or wavy hair. Curls are in; all you have to do is wash your hairs apply some gel or mousse and blow dry with a diffuser. For define curls utilize hair rollers.

? Color crazy- Bright colors are in for 2005. Some of the most common are kiwi, turquoise, coral, fuchsia, mango, yellow, aqua, melon, violet and many more? Do not ignore some of the regular pastel colors such as light pink. White should always be in your ward robe during the summer season.

? Knee length skirts- They come in all styles from pleated to form fitting.

? Cuffed pants- Many of the cuffed pants are also cropped.

? Tunics- They will not only give you a different look. You will also feel comfortable and cool.

? Prints, patterns and stripes, embroidered etc. are in this summer. So, do not be afraid to buy a blouse with floral print (any type of prints).

? About the fabric- Silk is definitely in style. Do not be surprise to see a lot of lace jewels, beads, rhinestones etc. on clothes.

? Accessorize- You will find anything from drop earrings to beaded and wooded jewelry. Other very popular accessories are brooches, variety of buckle belts, pendants, neck silk scarfs and many more. Just make sure that you do not over accessorize.

? Shoes- Comfort is also chic now. I have never seen such a variety of thong sandals. Mules, flip flops, flats, and moccasins are &quot;a la mode&quot; also. Wedges are good for the ladies that like to wear higher shoes; they are comfortable as long as you are able to sustain balance.

Teen Jewelry Fashion Exposed

Teenagers are a fickle bunch. At that stage of physical and psychological growth, they are constantly experimenting with things to improve their image and their look. Teen jewelry fashion plays a major part in the development of their identity and efforts to either blend in with the crowd or establish their own unique persona. Any parental endorsement of fashion accessories is akin to the kiss of death, and adolescents look to other influences when it comes to teen jewelry fashion.

The celebrities that teenagers see in music videos, television programs or movie screens are largely responsible for dictating trends in teen jewelry fashion. The oversized, ostentatious accoutrements favored by rap musicians have spawned the hip-hop jewelry trend, and teenagers have been patronizing lower-priced but accurate replicas of celebrity bling bling. Instead of the diamonds and other precious gems used in celebrity jewelry, cheaper zirconia and base metals are used for duplicates. Body jewelry (both the pierced and non-pierced types) that is unusually designed and made with inexpensive materials has also seen an increase in teenage patrons.

Beaded jewelry and woven friendship bracelets and rings are some of the other hot trends in teen jewelry fashion. Many teenagers make these dress accessories themselves and give them to friends as gifts. These are personalized with beads that have the letters of the recipient's name on them are incorporated into the woven fibers. Many teenagers also wear certain types of jewelry to identify them as part of a clique or group. These may take the form of uniquely designed pendants, rings or charms that have spiritual or mystical overtones.

Feminine teen jewelry fashion styles are also influenced largely by young celebrities today. Items worn by teen stars, such as Hilary Duff's slave bracelets, are copied by her non-celebrity counterparts. However, whimsical designs are still hugely popular among this set of young consumers. Gold- or silver-plated jewelry and jewelry that has gemstones has not lost its following among teenagers.

Some masculine teen jewelry fashion trends, on the other hand, tend to lean more toward beadwork, silverwork, leatherwork, and unusual stones. Teenage guys seem to think that sporty-looking accessories, such as so-called surfer-dude necklaces and arm bands made from bone, wood, or shell beads on a rubber or leather cord are cool. Stainless steel jewelry is popular with them, too.

Jewelry has been used by all people throughout history as marks of beauty or to denote social status. Adolescents are not immune to these patterns; in fact they are probably even more susceptible to them because of their need to simultaneously conform and stand out. Teenage jewelry fashion is part of their social arsenal and a tool in the development process.

Step By Step Making Your Own Spring Fashion Tube Blouse And Matching Thong Sandals

Ladies,

Spring has come for some of us and will happen soon for others. Here are some tips for creating a new spring/summer fashion to your wardrobe. Go to your favorite fabric store and purchase a 1/2 yard ( 18" by 54 to 60" wide) of stretch fabric.

This will be enough to make a tube top and cover a pair of thong sandals. If you have three or four pairs, pruce them up by covering them up with other different types of print stretch fabrics. Now make the tube tops to match them and you have a new spring and summer look. Take those old flip flops sandals out of the closet.

1. You start by covering the sides with your new fabric (the stretch fabric), you can use a spray adhesive (3M Supper adhesive) you can purchase at a hardware store. Cover the top and bottom part of the sandals so you don't get any adhesive on those areas.

Cut a wide strip of fabric that will wrap around the sides of the body of the sandal and cut away the excess hanging over the top edge and bottom edge.

2. Now cut a strip to cover the top part of the thong. Make sure you protect the area where you feet sits onto the sandal by covering the part where your feet rest on the insole. Use brown paper bag with masking tape. Spray the thong and spray the inside or wrong side of the fabric and press it onto the thong material part of the shoe. Have a new sole put on those that need it.

3. Tube top blouse are very simple to make. Just cut the fabric 3" less than the size of the width of your waist. Example, if your waist is 28 inches cut the fabric 25 inches wide, fold and sew edges together, 1/2 inch on the seam.

A good stretchy fabric that stretches both direction is what you look for in a good stretch fabric. It will fit comfortably on your bust size as well.

Enjoy your new fashion. Also suitable for young teens and little girls. For a step by step illustration go to: http://www.deyostudios.com You'll see swatches of new spring stretch fabrics we sell. We also sell cement adhesive kit with brushes. This cement gives a better and tigher final attachment. It's sold by the ounce (2 1/2 oz). You can also see other creations and designs that may be of interest.

Thrifty And Fashionable

Growing up with three sisters, it was important for us to be well-groomed. We were always borrowing clothes from each other then returning them clean and pressed. It was a way of streching our wardrobes and to the outside world we had an endless supply. We were thrifty without realizing it and no one was the wiser.

The first thrift store was opened in London during the middle eighteen-hundreds.The Salvation Army went around collecting donated goods from the working classes and then selling them to the poor for a fraction of the cost. A few years later,a Salvation Army store was opened in the lower East side of Manhattan serving over three million impoverished people.

During the depression, it was shameful to be seen wearing thrift store cast-offs. Clothes were handed down to another family member. Shoes were patched, blouses or shirts were mended or seams torn apart and made over to fit a family recipient. During the nineteen-fifties, wealthy women donated their clothes to be re-sold. The profits from these upscale resale shops were shared with the donor or the shop profited from it. During the nineteen-seventies,thrift stores were popular with the hippies and the college students searching for vintage styles.

Now days, thrift store parking lots are filled with luxury cars as well as the more modest ones reflecting the escalating prices. The stores have become so profitable that the same people they once helped cannot afford to shop there. Thrift stores like Goodwill have some quality items and at shopgoodwill.com clothing items are auctioned in the same way as on ebay. Although, it is better to visit their stores for more of a variety of items and sizes.

Kate Magazine is an online shopping magazine and she gives sound advice for buying vintage clothes and sizing them correctly. Also, she has links to resale shops and a newsletter that can be sent to an online email inbox. She also gives shopping tips about what time of year the mall outlets sell their merchandise at the lowest prices. A city's online yellow pages is a good source for locating the names of local thrift stores and resale shops.

After finding a favorite thrift store, resale shop or mall outlet, it is wise to visit it frequently in order to keep up with the changing merchandise. It is a good idea to check the thrift store, resale shop or mall outlet's refund or exchange policy because a lot of them do not allow it.Shopping at these establishments is a unique way to add to an existing wardrobe without going over a limited clothing budget.

Through the years, the author has shopped at these kinds of establishments and found some unique fashion items at bargain prices.

Diamond Earrings: Superiority and Endurance

"A diamond is forever," as the old saying goes. The late actress Marilyn Monroe said it best: "a diamond is a girl's best friend." So much tribute has been paid to the everlasting glory of the diamond, which is among the most valuable (and expensive!) precious stones in existence. Is it any wonder then that diamond jewelry is so fashionable? Diamond earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets ? many of these are regarded as works of art.

The diamond is the most unadulterated of all the gemstones composed of a single pure element. It is also the hardest transparent substance that exists. It is for this that the diamond stands as a symbol of strength, purity of spirit, and even physical chastity.

Diamond earrings first reached the height of fashion in Europe in the 18th century, just before the Renaissance era. To this day many people, even men, wear diamond earrings as a classy adornment. George Michael and Prince are only two of the many male celebrities who have been known to use diamonds as ear decorations. From time to time, David Beckham of soccer fame sports the odd diamond earring worth around $12,300.

Diamonds emphasize superiority and endurance. Unlike pearls they do not trap light, but reflect them -- projecting not just a glow, but a finely subtle ray of light upon the bearer's features. The light reflected by a diamond earring is often caught in the wearer's eye, hence you might notice a crafty sparkle in the eyes of women who wear finely-cut genuine diamond earrings.

Primarily, a diamond is graded by its 4 C's: the cut, clarity, color, and carat weight. These characteristics are taken into consideration in the crafting of the finest diamond earrings. Take these factors into consideration when picking out diamond jewelry.

Diamond earrings make the best gifts for loved ones who have an eye for quality, and deserve only the best in life. These accessories speak of the wearer's high-class taste and love for things of beauty.

How to Spot a Fake Designer Purse or Handbag

When you finally decide to dish out a large amount of cash for a handbag, you'll want to make sure it's the real thing you are purchasing and not a cheap knock-off. With the popularity of handbags at the present time, its no wonder so many companies are eager to produce knock-off versions of Gucci, Louis Vuitton and other high-fashion handbags. We want to make sure that you know when you are being ripped off so you can spend your well-earned money on something that is truly authentic. Here are some hints which will help you spot a fake designer handbag when you see one:

The Fabric

The fabric used to manufacture top-of-the-line brand name handbags is noticeably different than the material used for fakes. If there is wrong stitching or if the material is flawed in even the slightest manner, chances are it is not a name brand purse. High-fashion handbags will always have real materials, they will not use fake leather or fake animal skin and you will get the real deal 100 percent of the time.

Small Detailing

The great thing about authentic handbags is that they are unique and hours upon hours go into making each one exactly right. Designer handbags will often have extra stitching and detailing such as little diamonds, buckles or zippers which make them truly unique to any other designer. As noted above, the diamonds on name brand handbags will also be real 100 percent of the time.

Study the Celebrities

The best way to determine whether or not a handbag is a fake is by studying the real ones and the best way to do that is through celebrities. Celebrities will always have real name brand designer handbags. Most people recognize the design of Louis Vuitton purses because of Jessica Simpson and the hype she has created for the company. When you constantly see celebrities sporting specific types of handbags you will be more inclined in noticing the difference between real and fake ones.

Brand Name Labels

Many brand name handbag designers will put a custom label or logo on their items which indicate that they are authentic. The names sometimes appear on zippers or pockets and some companies like to put it in the same spot on every handbag to ensure their customers know it's real.

It is important to know that you are getting what you pay for when it comes to designer handbags. If you're instincts are telling you that the purse is a fake, chances are you're probably right and its best to leave the bag where it lies. With the amount of money you are spending on these items, you want to make sure the bag you're buying is authentic and worth every penny you are spending.

Bling Bling on a Budget

A nice piece of jewelry can brighten up your entire day. It can bring together an outfit and make you feel great. Paying a lot for that piece of jewelry however, doesn't make you feel very good. There is a lot of variation in the jewelry industry, and prices can fluctuate greatly between vendors. Your job as a bargain shopper is to find the best quality pieces at the lowest prices. Here you'll find a few tips to get you started in your bargain jewelry hunting journey.

When looking for a good piece of jewelry, you need to understand what you are looking at. Read up on the 4 C's of diamond grading, as well as the terminology for gold and silver rating. This knowledge will help you find the best jewelry deal possible. Don't get hung up on brand names. Often times, you are paying more for the name itself not the piece of jewelry. Pay special attention to the picture of the piece of jewelry. It should have adequate lighting and give you a good idea of what the piece looks like in person. Ask about the companies return policy, in case you find that the piece is not what you thought it would be.

Whenever possible, try to shop at a discount jewelry store. The quality is often the same as a name brand store, but the prices are significantly lower. Look online for a list of discount jewelry vendors, or try your hand at a closeout site. If a company is going out of business, they will sell their inventory to a closeout site, in order to make some of their money back. The closeout site then offers the products at very deep discounts. You can try overstock.com for deals on just about anything that you can think of. For an even better deal try going to an online coupon website. You can find coupon codes for a variety of different stores and items. You may be surprised at what you find! Be weary of auction sites when buying jewelry. Many of the sellers are unfamiliar with jewelry terms, and can mislead you into buying something that isn't right. Ask plenty of questions before committing.

Buying jewelry on a budget has never been easier. With a huge assortment of discount websites, you can find anything and everything at less than the retail price. Imagine how much more your budget will allow, since you are saving so much money!

Melanie Breeze, avid online shopper and user of <a target="_new" href="http://www.CouponChief.com">online coupons</a> at CouponChief.com, is always shopping around for the best deals. You can find jewelry deals and <a target="_new" href="http://www.couponchief.com">shopping discounts</a> available around the web at CouponChief, all in one location. Finding a coupon before your online purchase helps you get that extra discount!

Helpful Suggestions for Purchasing Sunglasses

There are so many styles to choose from, just how do you pick the best sunglasses for you? Following are some important points to consider.

Sunglasses are a necessary form of protection for anyone venturing outdoors. Sunglasses protect our eyes from the harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays while reducing glare and protecting eyes from sun-related eye problems. That said there have never been more sunglasses options, designs, technology and styles to choose from.

Whether your sunglasses needs are in a designer pair of sunglasses, sunglasses for your children, performance and sport sunglasses, prescription or non-prescription sunglasses it will be difficult to select just one pair.

There are a few helpful suggestions to aid you when purchasing sunglasses. It is important that the frame fits comfortably on your face, if you do select a frame that is too large keep in mind it can often be adjusted. If metal frames are chosen they can sometimes be slightly bent for a better fit, plastic frames can often be heated for a better fit. There are recommendations for finding sunglass shapes and colors that will complement your own face shape and coloring, ask your salesperson for ideas. It might be noted that sunglasses in general are taking on larger sizes, as wearers want ultimate protection from the sun's harmful rays.

It is also important to only purchase sunglasses with ninety nine to one hundred percent UVA and UVB protection, labels should be attached to the lenses. It is a good idea to wear sunglasses that block the sun from all angles by wearing a large framed pair of glasses that wrap around the face. A wide brimmed hat may also be worn for further protection.

Designer sunglasses have never been more abundant or popular. The sunglasses usually keep in step with the particular image that the designer has already created with their clothing, advertising and accessory designs. Most often if you like the clothing from a designer you will appreciate their sunglasses lines. The only way to know for sure is to try the glasses on and find what looks best on you. Along with designer sunglasses celebrities are bringing out designs Like the designers they try to stay consistent with the image they have created through their music, movies, television and modeling.

Sunglasses are just as important for children as they are for adults, probably even more so considering most children spend more time playing outdoors in direct sunlight then do adults. It may however be a bit difficult to get your children to wear sunglasses when outdoors. Fortunately the options in children's sunglasses prove to be quite appealing for children, and hopefully the designs available will keep them wearing the shades on a regular basis. Children's sunglasses are available for purchase at specialty sunglasses stores, optical shops, and optical chain stores and from your optician. It should be noted that sunglass lenses are impact resistant (this is required by the FDA) but not shatterproof, which is why many parents prefer the polycarbonate (shatterproof) lenses for their children's sunglasses since they are strong and durable. Sports sunglasses and sports eyewear are another option for children instead of regular sunglasses, as the sports sunglasses will be more durable. Sunglass clip-ons for children's prescription eyeglasses can also be purchased.

The popularity of outdoors sports such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, golfing, sailing and kayaking have created top of the line designs and excellent technology in sports lenses. Sports sunglasses are available in lightweight, durable materials, flexible designs with no slip designs and wonderful lenses options. Tinted lenses are made in a variety of shades to help efficiency in certain situations. The polycarbonate (shatterproof) lenses are extremely strong and impact-resistant giving benefit to people involved in high impact sports. The polarized lenses are a great choice for people participating in sports such as sailing and skiing where water and snow are involved. Of course there are multipurpose sunglasses, with some sunglasses in a changeable lens system design offering different lenses for different conditions.

Prescription eyeglass wearers can purchase prescription sunglasses with all the styles and options of regular sunglasses. The nice thing about owning prescription sunglasses is that you can wear your sunglasses outdoors and not have to continually be searching for your clip-on eyeglass covers. Prescription sunglasses are available from basic to high prescription needs with bifocal and progressive lens options. Prescription sunglasses are also available in designer and celebrity designs, unless there is a severe curve in the wrap, which would cause distortion. The photochromic lenses are a convenient choice allowing the wearer to go from sunlight in which the lenses would be dark to the indoors where the lenses become lighter, unfortunately with these particular sunglasses the UV is not in the lens unless specially applied.

The non-prescription (plano) sunglasses come in a vast variety of styling, designs and materials. The shapes and styles for both men and women range from sporty, to retro, rectangular, futuristic and glamorous to bejeweled and embellished looks. The Jackie O shapes, and variety of tinted lenses from blue to coral are the most popular styles of the moment. There are also designs, which come in rimless and semi-rimless options. Frame materials include plastic, metal and specialty metals such as stainless steel, aluminum and titanium (all offering lightweight and durability). The classic aviator style of the 1950 and 1960's is another popular option. Jewels and rhinestones on the front or temples is another trend.

Sunglasses come in more designs and styles than imaginable. It has never been more fashionable to be safe. Regardless of whatever design you select the bottom line is the sunglasses are protecting an important asset, your eyes. Everyone is susceptible to sun-related eye problems that can range from UV light damage of the cornea and retina to cataracts, protecting your eyes is of the utmost importance to ensure your future eye health. Kate and Laura Mulleavy

If you've been following the fashion scene, by now you've most likely heard the names Kate and Laura Mulleavy. New to the fashion world and hitting it full force, these two young girls are an inspiration for others. Without formal training but armed with determination, charm, and great ideas you reach your dreams.

Sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy new Rodarte line is full of nostalgia capturing the feel of the 1930s in America. It was only last year that sisters Kate and Laura decided to launch their own label Rodarte.

They were determined to cut no corners using only the most expensive fabrics.

Rodarte is based on the strong American spirit. Fashion icons such as Carole Lombard were inspirational to their designs. The Rodarte line can be found at Mix in Houston and Kirna Zaberte in New York.

26 year old Kate and 24 year old Laura both graduated from Berkeley. Neither has any formal fashion training, only a passion for the history of the past. Both have always had an interest in designing clothing.

Rodarte is named after their Grandfather a Zacatecan coal miner who immigrated to America during the Mexican Revolution. The family's linage is very important to both girls. They are also very close to each other which is why they make such a great team.

These inseparable sisters have been in business a very short period of time when they got a break. The Mulleavy sisters introduced their small collection of silk dresses adorned with peacock feathers and Italian-wool evening coats.

Their collections were as aesthetically pleasing as the works of famous designers such as Calvin Klein. They certainly were the most talked about.

Kate and Laura wrote a letter to vintage guru Cameron Silver charming him with their 10 piece Rodarte collection. He invited them to set up shop during L.A. Fashion Week at Decades. Even without formal training, it is very apparent that this sister act has a sense of style and design as their small Rodarte collection quickly gains momentum.

Their line will soon be found in some of the countries best boutiques. LA's Satine, Houston's Mix, Chicago's Ikram, New York's Kirna Zabette. They've even managed a private showing for Vogue's Anna Wintour.

The collection ranges from $1300 to $2000 in price. It's themed around the romantic west, nature, and their personal family linage. Their black wool crepe bodice dress is an all time favorite.

Made from strips of stiff fabric resembling tree trunks, with a delicate flowing skirt. The Earhart coat is a one pocket trench coat, and their military coat is black double faced wool accented with a thin row of pheasant feathers. How much closer to nature can you get?

Their fast growing recognition has people wondering who they know. The reality is they haven't made their debut because of who they know. They've come to be on talent and the goodwill of the fashion industry.

Their current collection is exactly what stylish women want to wear. Their talent is excellent, there genuine about wanting to design and their personalities are drawing.

It will be interesting to see where these girls are in a few years.

As well you must bring jeans or similar type casual pant, day or night jacket, a versatile skirt and a dress is great.

<B>Your Trip To The Beach</B> <BR> Don't overpack for a week in the tropics. Just bring the minimum, you'll not be wearing much more than that in your "hot" tropical location.

Make certain you have a pair of strappy flat or near flat sandles that you find comfortable for walking in and don't mind if they get covered in sand or water. Don't forget your bathing suit or bikini - most important.

The History of Costume Jewelry

There is virtually no difference between costume jewelry and antique jewelry. Costume Jewelry dates back to the 1930s. By the definition of antique that would also make it antique jewelry. However, most jewelry experts have come to agree that antique jewelry predates the 1930s.

Costume Jewelry came into being in the 1930s as a cheap disposable jewelry meant to be worn with a specific outfit, but not meant to be handed down through generations. It was intended to be fashionable for a short period of time, out date itself, and then be repurchased to fit with a new outfit purchase, or with a new fashion style. It became available in large quantities during the 30s.

Cheap jewelry also existed prior to the 1930s. Paste or glass jewelry as far back as the 1700s. The rich had their fine jewelry duplicated for a variety of reasons, using paste or glass stones. By the mid 1800s with the growth of the middle class there were now different levels of jewelry being manufactured using fine, semi-precious and base materials. Fine jewelry of gold, diamonds, fine gems such as emeralds and saphires continued to be made. Jewelry from rolled gold, which is a thin layer of gold attached to a base metal, entered the market for the middle class. This jewelry was often set with semi-precious gems such as amethyst, coral or pearls, and was much more affordable. And then there was jewelry that most anyone could afford, consisting of glass stones and base metals made to look like gold. All three types were intended to be passed down to future generations.

There are usually clues that can help one identify what era a piece of jewelry is from. Style, material, the type of piece. For example dress clips came in in the 1930s and were out of style by the 1950s. Jewelry reflects styles, designs, colors and stones of the era. For example from 1910 to 1930 silver was the favorite color for metal, so jewelry was found in platinum, white gold, silver or a base metal colored to look like silver. By World War II, gold was popular again but in short supply, since it was vital to the war effort. What gold was available was made into very thin sheets and usually bonded to silver (called vermeil) before being turned into jewelry. By the 1930s rhinestones popularity was ever increasing in Europe. It was not available to the Americans until the 1940s. As a result, many of the pieces from this period tend to feature lots of metal and a single stone or a small cluster of tiny rhinestones.

Today is certainly not much different from past times. We still have fine jewelry, semi precious jewelry, and of course costume jewelry available to us. Costume jewelry can add the finishing touch and show your fashion sense. Costume Jewelry styles of past years are now becoming very fashionable and many are being reproduced. Even with costume jewelry there is a difference in quality. Many of the new pieces do not have the vibrance in the stones or the weight of the older pieces.

Antique and vintage costume jewelry are both fun to collect and fun to wear. No longer is costume jewelry simply "collectable." It is "in style, and" "fashionable," and a terrific conversation starter. Dress to impress!

Why is Orlando So Popular?

Lets clear up a few misconceptions about Florida in general and Orlando and its attractions in particular.

Firstly for those of us from the U.K. or Europe, it is important to mention the sheer size of this place, although one of the smaller US states (22nd largest), Florida is roughly the same size as England and Wales combined, with Walt Disney World alone equivalent in size to Sheffield! Orlando itself is larger than many small countries.

The point I am making here is that Orlando is a BIG place, for those that have not made the "pilgramage" to Florida with the kids in tow, I cannot emphasise enough the relative difference in scale, a family could easily spend a whole week in Disneyworld, with plenty to see and do!

A popular conception in Europe is that Americans always seem to do things bigger and better, unfortunatley in this case its true! No matter which attractions or theme parks you may have visited previously in the UK, you will experience "shock and awe" as you see for the first time any of the larger Orlando parks.

These parks are so big that there are many full blown books and guides dedicated to each one, in fact, if you are planning a trip it would be advisable to read several guides and do lots of research on the web to plan your itinerary. Do not think for a minute that you can "do" a theme park in an afternoon, you will need a full day at least for the major attractions (of which there are many).

I would estimate it would take around 4-5 weeks for an average family to take in just the MAIN attractions. Many of the 34 million people visiting Orlando are repeat visitors, after a 1-2 week initial stay they want more, its not unusual to find yourself on the flight home thinking what a great time you have had - and at the same time feeling disappointed as you realise there is so much more that you missed.

Summer Swimsuits ? There is Still Time to Enjoy Them

Our summer season has finally made its way into July, marking what most of us consider to be the halfway point of the season. Soon enough, we will struggle to fit another weekend getaway into what is left of summer before having to dismantle the laid back attitude of the summer sun. Students of all ages will be returning to their campuses, only to recall and share the fond memories with other peers.

There is still time to get the most of the warmth and sun before having to cope with facing the inevitable reality of responsibility. There are some relatively unknown tips that can aid in your quest of the everlasting summer, even for those in regions where piling snow will replace the thick green blades of grass.

Find Close-Out Swimwear with Style

Now is the season to gather up all the latest closeout <a target="_new" href="http://lingerie-4u.biz/bikini.htm">bikini</a> and one-piece swimsuits that are holding back the fall and winter gear from reaching the store shelves. Even top designer swimwear gets discounted in the off season. To make sure that your new suit has the staying power for beaches to come, there are some simple rules to follow when selecting the right suit.

<ul>

<li>Printed Fabrics versus Solids. Prints are trendy, and they tend to go out of style much faster than solid patterns. There are exceptions to the rule, and common sense plays an important role.</li>

<li>Pastels and Neon versus the Basic Eight. Like printed fabrics, funky colors are seasonal. It is best to pick the bikini with the basic eight colors. They are always in style, and you don't risk the obsolescence of your new suit.</li>

<li>Slingshot Bikini? Every year there is a new take on the bikini. Although the cool fads might last a few seasons, they can drop off the radar at any minute. Unless you have inside information from a reliable source, stick to the basics.</li>

<li>Trust A-List Designers. <a target="_new" href="http://lingerie-4u.biz/swimwear.htm">Designer swimwear</a> manufacturers usually have a longevity that can be trusted. Top designers set the stage that others so diligently follow. They are the trend setters, and finding their swimwear at discounted pricing is fabulous, especially if your style will last more than one season.</li>

<li>Go Directly to the Source. By heading right toward the designer, there is no middleman getting in the way. Web sites are easily updated and many of the top designers have online bikini and swimwear galleries to browse. Checking at the closeout specials often allow you first-hand knowledge of the newly discounted swimwear.</li> </ul>

Even as the summer draws to a close, begin thinking about your winter getaway to the tropics. There is much to plan, and being prepared with your swimsuits is priceless. Concentrate on other aspects of your travels knowing that you have paid less for the best swimwear available.
